COVID19 policy

Covid-19 continued lockdown measure are GLOBAL.  Manufacturing worldwide has been disrupted, UK stocks of many goods are low and some supplies are still difficult to source.  Due to the exceptional volumes couriers are having to handle at this time, we will only be able to guarantee standard delivery at 1-2 days (2-4 days Highlands) as opposed to next day. If you place an order on our website please bear this in mind.  Many items are no longer returnable - please check with us before returning any items

Internal Staff and Premises

As a micro business we will be carrying on business as usual.  To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we've already started putting precautionary measures in place, including:

- Fully training staff on prevention steps
- Ensuring all staff wash their hands more frequently and thoroughly
- Cleaning high contact points more frequently with sanitising sprays Delphis Eco anti-bacterial sanitiser

- We do not have staff who have travelled to any of the affected regions

Supply Chain

The threat posed by the COVID-19 Coronavirus caused a significant surge in demand for hygiene products which has inflated the cost of shipping containers. We are experiencing shortages of a number of small plastic items made in the Far East eg toners and cartridges, and increased lead times on a number of product lines where demand is outstripping supply. 

In addition BREXIT has affected our supply chain for many recycled office products manufactured in the EU including increased customs clearance costs.  Please be assured that we are doing all we can to meet demand and provide continuity of supply to our loyal customers.

We have just received this information from one of our main UK suppliers:

"You may experience some disruption to your service from VOW Wholesale. Similar to all businesses around the country, we may potentially face a shortfall in staffing availability for both warehouse and transport roles.

This is a well-documented national problem that has been compounded in the past 18 months by Brexit, the coronavirus pandemic and a spike in demand for home deliveries, as well as further exacerbated by the impact of “Freedom day” and high levels of self-isolation. We expect these challenges to continue for the next few weeks as the country gets to grips with the latest stages of the pandemic and government guidance evolves. 

We are currently implementing plans to ensure we mitigate all potential impacts and disruptions to you and your business. This includes taking steps to secure additional full-time resource across our key operational functions and utilising the support of agency workers, which also comes at a significantly increased cost"

Carriers and Parcels

  1. UK parcel collection and delivery operation
    All DPD depots and hubs are working as normal, but they will no longer offer guaranteed deliveries and next day deliveries are taking longer.
  2. Signing for parcels.
    Carriers will no longer ask customers to sign our handheld units and instead our drivers will sign it on their behalf and take a photograph of the door to which it was delivered. They record the consignees name and a 'Delivered on Authority' message in the signature section of the unit.  With this new process you will still get your full track and trace functionality, giving you complete visibility of all your parcels. This now forms our proof of delivery process for all deliveries until further notice.

  3. Mail and parcels from China or other affected areas.
    There is currently no evidence that you can catch Coronavirus from parcels and letters.


However serious a threat coronavirus poses, it’s important to retain perspective in the UK. Every day, over 4,000 people lose their lives to TB, mostly in South-East Asia and Africa. Although coronavirus is a growing global threat, the number of people dying from it daily is currently much lower than from other infectious diseases — many of which are entirely preventable.

The Green Stationery Company does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. The Green Stationery Company has a regular cycle of cleansing and refreshing data contained within our customer list to ensure each record is kept up-to-date. Any invalid records are either update or securely deleted.

What kinds of personal information do we collect and how do we use it?

On our site, we have two areas where we may ask you to submit personal information in order to process an order or to sign you up to our mailing list. Any information which you provide in these forms will be securely stored and will not be viewable or sold to third parties. The personal information we collect on these pages are; name, company name, address, e-mail address and phone number.

We do not collect any credit or debit card information as this is either processed via Sage Pay Europe Limited's secure internet payment service or keyed straight into our in-house card terminal when orders are phoned through. Our website has an SSL certificate to comply with data protection requirements, which means that all transactions and data transfers are encrypted in order to minimise the risk of personal data being intercepted by third parties.

Cookies Information

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process.

You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is used to: a. Take and fulfil customer orders b. Administer and enhance the site and service c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Use of Google Analytics

The Green Stationery Company's website uses Google Analytics, which tracks website data. To do this, Google Analytics uses cookies to monitor how visitors are using the site. We use this data to analyse user activity in order to improve the website. For example, using cookies we can see how long a user spends on a certain page. We are then able to use such analysis to gain insights into how the improve the functionality and user experience of the website.

Use of Forensics Software

The Green Stationery Company's websites uses forensic software which collects, processes and stores data relating to businesses and decision makers. These are collected on the basis that the individual is likely to have an interest in a Green Stationery Company product. The software will only ever collect, process and store the essential information required for making contact with data subjects within a business environment. The personal data collected includes; first name, last name, e-mail address, social profiles (Linkedin etc.) as well as a business IP address. Other business related data such as business name, job function, turnover and business may address may also be processed. However, the software used on The Green Stationery Company's website does not collect further personal data classed as 'sensitive personal data'.

The data collected by the software is then used by The Green Stationery Company to communicate marketing and sales messages relating to The Green Stationery Company's products. We will only send messages to those we believe are likely to be interested in The Green Stationery Company's products based upon the data obtained by the software. Messages using this software could be delivered via e-mail or social media.

Opting Out

We want to make sure that information we hold about you is correct and up-to-date. Therefore, if you believe the information we hold on you is inaccurate, then you can ask us to correct or remove it at no charge to you.
