Retractable ‘Lecce Mater-Bi Green Click’ ballpoint pens, made in Italy, with a body colour choice of either yellow or green, with contrasting green or yellow corn cob-moulded buttons. These pens write with blue ink, and are made from biodegradable non-GMO cornstarch that has the same texture and firmness as plastic, but will dissolve in landfill within 3 months. Whilst the corn used in this bioplastic could equally be used as food, the land required by bioplastics is of a magnitude 300 times less than that of biofuels.
